Hike the State Park
If you’re looking for a scenic place to take a hike, then you’ll be pleasantly impressed by the trials at Cedars of Lebanon State Park. This picturesque woodland is home to several hiking trails that offer an enjoyable exploration of the forested area, and all trails are considered relatively easy to allow leisurely strolls for hikers of all skill levels. Trail lengths range from the half-mile Dixon Merrit Trail and Limestone Sinks Trail to the five-mile Hidden Springs trail, allowing you to make a quick trek or make a full afternoon out of your hike. As you wander, look closely through your surroundings. You might just spot some of the park’s wildlife, as Cedars of Lebanon is home to deer, rabbits, turkeys, and even foxes. You’ll also see signage describing the plant life visible from the trail.
Pack a Picnic
If you work up an appetite on your adventure, you’ll already be in the perfect place for a picnic. Before you head out to the state park, pack a picnic’s worth of food, as you can utilize the park’s picnic tables and covered spaces to relax and enjoy your meal. Cedars of Lebanon State Park also has beverage machines and drinking fountains if you need to quench your thirst during your visit. If you’re planning an event, remember that you can reserve picnic shelters to host groups of 50 to 75 people.
Go Camping
If you’d like to stay a while at the state park, feel free to bring some camping gear and your tent. There are more than 30 tent and pop-up campsites at Cedars of Lebanon, plus a seasonal camp store. If you want a bit more shelter, consider booking your stay at one of the state park’s cabins. Each cabin features two bedrooms with bedding for up to six people, and you can even book your cabin up to a year in advance.

Cedars of Lebanon State Park is located at 328 Cedar Forest Road, Lebanon, Tennessee 37090. Camp sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The campgrounds are also open all year long if you’d like to return after the summer has come to an end. The state park is a popular camping destination, so stays are capped at a maximum of two weeks.
